Design & Planning
Regardless of whether you’re installing a voice, data or fibre optic network, are moving offices or simply expanding an existing system, our experienced team will help you design and implement the installation your company requires.
Comprehensive design & planning is essential for ensuring all potential future requirements are catered for. We’ll look at your current requirements whilst future-proofing your installation as far as possible.
This detailed level of design & planning will allow you to budget precisely. There’ll be no discovering you need additional equipment down the line. We’ll discuss your requirements with you at the start before carrying out a full-site survey, reporting back to you with our recommendations.
Office Moves
Whether you’re moving to new offices or simply expanding your existing offices, there will normally be some form of cabling required for voice and data networks. UTL’s cabling solutions will facilitate anything from the construction of a completely new cabling infrastructure to the addition of just a few points.
Generally, an office move will involve new voice and data cabling for phones and PC, a communication room with an adequately-sized cabinet (with fans, aircon and temp control), along with patch panels, UPSs, routers, and wireless and telephony equipment.
We can help design and project-manage your move to ensure you get the right equipment to do the job now and into the future. Knowing industry trends as we do, we can future-proof your networks, in line with all relevant industry standards and health and safety procedures, so your new infrastructure design can accommodate future changes to your operations.
Terminate & Test
In certain circumstances, such as when another contractor has already installed cabling infrastructure, we’re asked to provide a Terminate & Test service. Terminate & Test is essential for assuring the efficiency of your system. Many existing cable networks are poorly terminated, which could interfere with the transfer speeds your organisation requires.
At UTL, we use industry-standard test & terminate equipment to assess the functionality of your cabling system. This would normally involve termination to a patch panel in your comms room, and from there to a module at the user-end. We’ll provide you with comprehensive test results with essential information for getting the job signed off to completion.
WiFi Installations
UTL has been installing WiFi in organisations since inception. With installation experience across innumerable locations, our team will ensure you have optimal WiFi coverage through bespoke solutions adaptable to the design of your offices.
